As the Managing Director of Capital Commercial Land, LLC, Blake Buffington is responsible for the identification, acquisition, entitlement, development and disposition of residential property across the country on behalf of the company.
In his former experience as Vice President and General Counsel to Buffington Capital Holdings, LLC, Buffington was critically involved in the acquisition, entitlement and development of over 9,300 single family lots on 2,200 acres in Central Texas with combined real estate development capital under management in excess of $337 million.
For a period of ten years prior to the above, Blake Buffington served as Texas legal counsel to several of the country's largest public homebuilders and developers, including Lennar Homes, Inc. and Toll Brothers, Inc. Through his experience as a real estate attorney, he has represented clients in the purchase and sale of over $1.5 billion in real property. In 2005, he was recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine as a "Super Lawyer", a designation reserved for the top 5% of lawyers in the State of Texas.
His direct involvement in residential development and his experience as an attorney has included all aspects of negotiation, entitlement, financing, due diligence, closing, and development.
Blake holds a B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. He is a member of the Real Estate and Probate Law Section of the State Bar, as well as a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin.
