Derek George is a Partner and Managing Director of Capital Commercial Investments. His responsibilities include analyzing and negotiating the terms for acquisition and disposition opportunities, identifying and securing debt and equity placements, and overseeing development opportunities for CCI. He has been involved in various aspects of commercial real estate and private equity investment for 12 years. Prior to joining Capital Commercial Investments in 2001, Mr. George was Vice President with Rubin Pachulski Properties in Los Angeles, where he was an integral part of the acquisition, finance and asset management of over $650 million in commercial real estate ventures. Mr. George also served in management and analyst roles with Bear Stearns & Co. and Enron Capital Trade Resources, where his responsibilities included debt and equity financing, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, valuation, and the development of various futures and derivatives contracts, most in excess of $100 million. Mr George is a Member of The Real Estate Council of Austin and received his BA in Economics from Baylor University.
